Payment methods listed

550 of the 595 suppliers in the CNC Compass catalogue list payment terms on their Made-in-China.com profile:

MethodSuppliersShare
T/T (bank transfer)54599%
L/C (letter of credit)46284%
Western Union41976%
PayPal41676%
D/P (documents against payment)35965%
Small-amount payment31357%
MoneyGram7413%

Most suppliers tick several methods, so the list says what a supplier will discuss, not what it prefers. For a first order, agree the method, the deposit, and when the balance is due (before shipment, against inspection, or against shipping documents) in writing.

Incoterms listed

549 suppliers list the Incoterms they work with. FOB (546, 99%), CIF (505, 92%), EXW (475, 87%), and CFR (447, 81%) are near universal. Terms in which the supplier delivers to your country are rarer: DDP 109 (20%), DAP 82 (15%), FCA 68 (12%), CIP 53 (10%), CPT 46 (8%). Easion Industrial in Dongguan, for example, lists FOB, EXW, CFR, CIF, DDP, and DAP.

If you have no forwarder, a supplier that lists DDP or DAP can quote to your door; ask what the price includes (duties, customs clearance, last-mile delivery). If you use your own forwarder, FOB with the named Chinese port, or EXW, keeps freight under your control.

They describe this catalogue, which is mostly suppliers of machined and fabricated parts found on that marketplace; they are not a census of Chinese manufacturing. Each supplier record on this site shows the same answers with a link to the page they come from.
