Why check the register
A certificate image on a marketplace listing shows that a certificate was issued to someone. Certification bodies in China report the management-system certificates they issue to the Certification and Accreditation Administration (CNCA), which publishes them in its certification information query. The register entry gives the holder’s registered name, the standard, the certificate number, and the issue and expiry dates, so it settles who holds the certificate and for what.

65 of the 187 suppliers (35%) show a certificate on their listing whose number matches a register record. The median supplier with an ISO 9001 record was first certified in 2017; the earliest in 2000. Alumag Aluminum Tech (Taicang), for example, has quality and automotive records since 2007 and environmental records since 2010, and Dongguan Hongxia Precision Machinery shows the same ISO 9001 number on its listing as on the register.

Check it yourself
- Get the supplier’s Chinese registered name (on its business licence, or on the CNC Compass record when the registry match was confirmed).
- Open the CNCA certification information query. The page is in Chinese: enter the certificate number in 证书编号 or the Chinese registered name in 企业名称, then choose 查询 (search). It asks for a captcha.
- Compare holder name, standard, scope, and dates with the certificate the supplier sent you. A different holder name may be a former name, a parent company, or another company.
- For certificates from accreditation bodies outside China, search IAF CertSearch as well.
How these figures were counted
CNC Compass reads each listed supplier’s Made-in-China.com company profile and its registered company in a copy of the national certification register, and keeps every answer with its quote and page address. The figures above cover the 595 supplier records published on this site, read on 2026-10-05. They describe this catalogue, which is mostly suppliers of machined and fabricated parts found on that marketplace; they are not a census of Chinese manufacturing. Each supplier record on this site shows the same answers with a link to the page they come from.
